
There are some World Rugby accredited Coach Development opportunities coming up through Harbour Rugby. Chat to your Director of Senior Rugby or Junior Rugby is you needs some club support!
The course builds on the World Rugby Level 1 and further develops coaches' tactical and technical knowledge. It also helps coaches to developing their coaching process skills in a practical environment.
This two-day course is run by World Rugby approved educators. It is for coaches who are coaching in the Youth & Senior grades.
The dates for the course are on Friday February 21st (5.00pm - 8.30pm) and Saturday February 22nd (8.00am - 4.00pm) at Marist North Harbour RFC, Albany.
Please note:
You must be available for both days to attend the course.
Registration does not guarantee entrance into the course, due to potential high demand, we may need to limit the amount of participants.
Completion of a DRC Level 1 is favourable and you must be coaching a team currently or within the next 12 months for planning and observations to be completed
The Level 1 Foundations of Rugby is a coaching course that provides a basic understanding of rugby and how to coach. The course is seen as an extension of Rugby Smart and is a pivotal course to complete for those wanting to complete their Level 2's and 3's
Key modules include Principles of Play, Coaching a Skill, and Creating Positive Environments.

The second, we are excited to be partnering with NZR to deliver a Level 1 - Foundations of Rugby course targeted at females coaches on Wednesday April 2nd at Marist North Harbour Rugby Club.
