Deadline for ENTRY: As organisers we like to have TEAMS entered by FRIDAY 18th OCTOBER.

Cost: $50 Per child or $300 per team

Duration: 8 full playing weeks. (We dont extend the season and seldom cancel a week)

ENTRY PROCESS: Our draw system and online payment is fully enabled. School co-ordinators may choose to manually enter the competition and chose their own money collection systems, or they can use the IT functionality above to collect fees.

TEAM ENTRY: We very, very much prefer that "entire" TEAMS enter this Touch competition and specifically from Junior and Intermediate Schools. Teams will need to find their own managers and coaches.

INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES: We do allow individual children (that are not part of a local school) to enter and play as an "individual". We can't guarantee that we will find enough individuals to make a whole team and can offer a full refund if we cannot find a team. Unlike a conventional Rugby season, Silverdale does not find and co-ordinate coaches for these teams.

MODIFIED JUNIOR TOUCH RULES

In Yrs 1 to 4, we encourage a Coach / teacher to be on the field to assist the referee in managing players.

In Yrs 1-4 teams will play half a Touch Field

In Yrs 1-4 we encourage 5 players on the field, but by mutual consent this can be 6 aside.

In year 1&2 A dropped ball, or forward pass counts as a Touch

In Years 1-4 the defendiong player may only shoot up once the first receiver has caught the ball.

We suggest no more than 8 players in a squad. More touches on the Ball is best for all

MIXED TEAMS - There will be no specific MIXED GRADE, but schools are welcome to submit mixed teams in any grade. For instance if there are multiple Mixed teams we will group them into the same grade.

Grading: * We do our best to grade all teams so that we have even competition in grades. It might mean that a really competent team plays in an older age-group if we feel the level of oppostion is better suited. Converse applies with weaker teams.

Non-school teams : We do not encourage this, however Non-School teams and individuals may apply to enter composit teams if their school is not officially playing.
