ENDOWMENT TRUST:
The Club recently incorporated an Endowment Trust. Funding of sports clubs has become increasingly difficult. The Trust has been incorporated as a long term strategy by the Board of Directors to provide investment funding to assist in;
- Capital expenditure for the modernisation and upgrade of the Club building
- Providing good playing surfaces – possibly artificial surfaces
- Upgrading field lighting and,
- Employment of “key” personnel
The Club has been fortunate to have capable and loyal Silverdale people offer their time as Trustees – Terry Wilson (Chair); Calvin Howarth (Secretary); Tim Ellery; Nick Lafferty and Chris Carter (Advisory Trustee/Finance)
The Trustees held an “official launch” for the Silverdale United Rugby & Sports Club Endowment Trust on the 29th April 2017 at the Club, at a SOBS function prior to senior club games.
